Relationships

My fantasy is that, in spirit form, I saw my parents fighting and decided to incarnate through them so I could help them resolve their differences. Fat chance! But I’ve been interested in the dynamics of relationships for most of my adult life. Relating means a lot to me. I even did research into couples and couple therapy for my MSc – when I was 50.

I suppose I was driven by the dysfunction in my own family, which I wasn’t aware of at first. I just thought there was something wrong with ME. Well, there was. I didn’t know how to function in the world, either as a child or as a young adult.

For those of you interested in astrology, I have Mercury on the 7th house cusp in Pisces. Therefore I have Virgo rising, so Mercury is my chart ruler. It’s in the 7th house of partnerships and relationships – where one becomes two, or more. That’s my area of operations. As that Mercury is retrograde, I’ve had to learn about relationships on an inner level. And, as I’m a Pisces, with my Sun widely conjunct the Descendent in the 6th house, I’ve had to learn through ‘working on myself’ and, ultimately, healing my relationship with that self.

I think I’ve learned to live with and love myself by now.
